A city of contrasts, it is both an eclectic mix of shiny hotels and swanky office blocks, neighbouring beautiful, red-tiled colonial-era buildings.
The South Coast beaches of Sri Lanka have been ranked among the top 10 in the world by CNN, Lonely Planet & Discovery Channel!
- Over-night stay at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo (5-star).
Day 2 - COLOMBO / WELIGAMA
- After breakfast, transfer to Weligama.
- Leisure day to enjoy the hotel, pool, & beach!
You will be staying overnight at the best 5 star hotel in Weligama which is part of the world-class international hotels brand: Marriott!
- Over-night stay at Marriott Weligama (5-star).
Day 3 - WELIGAMA / YALA
- After breakfast, visit the STILT FISHERMEN IN WELIGAMA.
Stilt fishing is a method of fishing unique to the island country of Sri Lanka, known as “the Pearl of the Indian Ocean”. The fishermen sit on a cross bar called a ‘petta’ tied to a vertical pole and driven into the sand a few meters offshore. From this high position, the fisherman cast his line, and waits until a fish comes along to be caught. It's fascinating to watch!
- Then proceed to Yala and arrive around 13:00hrs to check-in and have lunch at Leopard Trails.
- Relax before the afternoon game drive in a 4x4 safari jeep in YALA NATIONAL PARK.
- Dinner & over-night stay at Leopard Trails, Yala (boutique).
Day 4 - YALA
- After breakfast, simply relax and enjoy the jungle. You will be given a few excursions to pick from as well. You can select what you like.
Yala National Park is the most popular wildlife destination in Sri Lanka because of the high chance of encounter and variety of animals. Its diversity of bird, mammal and reptile life is unrivalled in the country and there are particularly high densities of its two keystone species: elephants and leopards. Current estimates suggest there are around 70 leopards and, as the apex predator in the park, they’re top cat here so less fearful than in countries like Africa where lions rule the roost. This means you’re more likely to see a leopard here than anywhere else in the world!
- Dinner & over-night stay at Leopard Trails, Yala (boutique).
You will be staying overnight at the best boutique campsite in Yala, which has won many international awards!
Day 5 - YALA / WELIGAMA
- After breakfast, you will do another 4x4 jeep safari in YALA NATIONAL PARK.
- Then check-out and proceed to Galle to visit the GALLE FORT.
Even if you're not a cultural person, the buildings inside Galle Fort itself will take your breath away. The fort is a vast monument, and within its walls, you'll find a selection of fascinating museums and beautiful churches. Don't miss the magnificent clock tower that stands high above the fort, looking out to sea.
- Over-night stay at Cape Weligama (boutique).
Day 6 - WELIGAMA
- After breakfast, leisure day to enjoy the hotel, pool, & beach!
You will be staying overnight at the best boutique hotel in Weligama which is the only Relais & Chateaux beach hotel in Sri Lanka!
- Over-night stay at Cape Weligama (boutique).

- After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
